I like carrying out modifications, but I feel I'll be compromising the integrity of the tubes too much.
So... I'm going to order some Clover tubes off 66Bronco Bryan... job done
Those CCD tubes are NICE! almost have me wanting to build a berg...
Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
Yeah that clover stuff is real nice. Saw it in person on Mini's berg. I cant afford those right now, probably do the C-hub mod soon.

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
Picked up four of these muthas today
Thunder Power G6 850mah 65C constant/130C burst
Fuck me
I blew a 3rd gear in 3mins flat
I was beating on it really hard, you know, wheelies, stoppies, roll overs, flipping onto roof etc. on tarmac!
So I've just ordered some 300 SDS 3rd's, sick of breaking them, been through about 4 so far! should put a stop to it spitting them out..but will probably break something else instead
Should be able to do some proper jumps now

I picked them up locally, just 10 miles from my house!
Pretty sure they ship worldwide, but I'm guessing you'll be able to get them nearer to you?

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
Yeah the hard third gear is a must! I blew mine out pretty quick also, and my son tore up 3 in two weekends. After we got the hardened stuff, no more problems Im also looking to get some 850's, need just a tad smaller battery. Next you will need some hard pins for the tranny. I got some from Gunnar. Erik Dlux also sells chromo ones.

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
I've been on holiday last week, but managed to get home in time for a comp at Brimham Rocks (google images, amazing place!) yesterday.
First time out with the Viper, and it worked really well for me, but I drove badly and had to make do with a fourth place...
I'm dissapointed, but there you go..my head wasnt in the right place, and I couldnt seem to concentrate, got a lot going on at work at the moment and to be fair, that's where I shouldve been really

Tough luck Martin, i feel your pain. My truck is working very well, my focus is whats dragging me down. Hang in there, it will come around. At least i hope my focus does

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
It is almost always my lack of focus that costs me wins.... And usually when my mind is somewhere else. At our last state comp I was oncall for work and my phone would not stop ringing, nothing messes up a comp like doing remote computer support on Saturday morning when you should be focusing on the course you are about to drive.
4th is still respectable.

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
SDS third gears arrived today and the hardened pins from Gunnar landed last week
Got a motor battery mount on order from Big Ron and hopefully the Clover tubes will be shipping soon
I'm going to wait till the tubes come and then I'm going for a full rebuild, new bearings, skim motors, new brushes, new gears, new skins etc..

This is the mount on Cowfreak's build
Yes I'm getting both front and rear tubes, he will cut an 86jeep slot, supply mount etc. so I thought may as well!
I said skins, I meant panels, it was late when I posted

I don;t even own a berg and I get a bit chubby over the Clover tubes... they are SEXY and I can always appreciate quality machine work, even if I can't use it.

Re: Jordi's Viper Berg
Had some spare time over the weekend, so me and and 7 yr old son got some practicing in the garden
Managed to film some of our exploits too, it was good fun, my boy learn't a lot, I might even get him to a comp one day.. up until the weekend he wasnt interested in driving through gates. He always wandered off to do something else when the tennis balls came out
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HPB5hxoU7w
It was warm in the UK for a change, so warm in fact I had to put a baseball cap on and my shades, pity it wasnt a UGC cap though..... (now there's a thought!)
It'd hardly ever warm enough to run my UGC tee shirt outside, a cap would be cool, I could use that all the time, come rain or shine...
Tried the new mount, not so sure about it, will wait and see what happens when I get the Clover's
It pushes the battery too far back and gives me issues with the links, so I'll leave it how it is for now
Do any of you guys know Bryan at Clover designs? I cant seem to get hold of him and his thread on the tubes has gone quiet..
